The Millers evened the score in the third quarter when Yukon quarterback Dallas Sauser connected with tight end Wyatt Pace on a huge 4th down play. Sauser kept the ball on the extra point attempt and ran it into the left corner to tie the game at 7-7. Neither team would score again in regulation.

In the COFL, overtime consists of one possession for each team, starting ten yards away from the end zone. Yukon scored first on a 5 yard run from Jesse Eakers. The extra point attempt was unsuccessful, and Yukon now led 13-7. Deer Creek struggled for two downs, and faced 3rd and goal from the 12 yard line. Quarterback Bryson Rouse scrambled from defenders long enough to extend the play, and eventually found receiver Brittain Brewer in the end zone to tie the game at 13-13.

Deer Creek just needed the extra point to seal the victory, and they got it from running back Taylor Tomlin. Both teams finished the season at 13-1. Deer Creek picked up their second Super Bowl championship in three years (both against the Millers).
